  • HelpNow and JobNow by Brainfuse


    HelpNow and JobNow by Brainfuse   In cooperation with the Central Massachusetts Library Advocates, the Southborough Library is excited to announce the local access of two new electronic platforms from Brainfuse. These new e-resources are for on-demand, anytime, anywhere online tutoring and employment resources - available to patrons with a library card.

       HelpNow offers personalized homework help in core subjects: math, reading, writing, science and social studies, including SAT preparation. 

       JobNow supports every step of the job search process. 
    Patrons can brush up on interview techniques or get live online interview practice from coaches.
  • The Backyard Orchard | Tuesday, 10/17 @ 7:00PM

  • Book Sale | 10/9 @10:00AM


    library building open forum flyer   The Friends of the Southborough Library will hold their annual book sale on Heritage Day on Monday, October 9th from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM.
     
       Proceeds from the Friends’ fundraisers are used to support Library resources and programs not covered by the regular budget. This includes most of the Library’s museum passes and programming for all ages.

  • Sit & Knit: Drop-In Knitting


    Sit and knit drop in knitting flyer   The Sit and Knit bi-monthly meetings continue on select Saturday afternoons in 2023. Drop in and work on your latest knitting or crochet projects while you enjoy the company of fellow yarn crafters in a relaxed social setting. Please note knitters of all levels are welcome but no formal instruction will be given. This is a drop in program so no registration is required. Ages 18+.

       Don't forget to check out the Library's subscription to Creativebug, which provides online knitting and crochet classes.
  • Teen Bookclub Online | Starting 9/14


       Are you an overly booked  high  schooler? Do you want to join a chill group to discuss a good read? 

       If so, try out our book club meeting once a month on Discord for a fun virtual chat. Discussion will occur once a month, starting Thursday, 9/14 at 5:00 PM. Those unable to make it can read and answer questions any time during the week.

  • Middle School Book Club | Saturday 9/23 @ 11AM


       Middle schoolers are invited to meetup with Ms Marianna one Saturday morning a month to discuss the selected book and enjoy an activity.

  • Thursday Tech Time | Thursdays @ 4:00PM


    Thursday Tech Time flyer   Are you interested in learning about the library's apps? Do you have database quandries? Would you like general guidance about your device? Come have your tech questions answered!

       Come down to the Teen Room on Thursdays between 4:00PM-5:00PM to work 1 on 1 with a librarian or teen volunteer. 

      No registration is neccessary and sessions are limited to no more than 1 hour.
